"This is delicious, especially warm. You can serve it with ice cream or whipped cream but I like it plain."

  1. I was challenged to try this by a friend who lives mangos. I'm an excellent cook and decided to try this recipe. I implemented a few changes: used 2 teaspoons of nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor and 3 tablespoons of sugar to the filling. Made topping according to directions. The key to the crust not be runny is to place in pre heated oven and DO NOT OPEN to check until your full 25 minutes are up. Mine was excellent --dont forget the ice cream.

  2. I am inundated with mangoes right now and have been searching for recipes to use them. This was tasty. The topping turned out different than I expected but it was still good. Two of us managed to eat the whole thing in 3 days. I have big mangoes so I had to place a cookie sheet under my pan to catch the drippings.

  3. I love mangoes and am always looking for new ways to use them. This recipe gets a big thumbs up. The balance of flavours is perfect. I myself like that it's low in cholesterol and saturated fat. We had it warm with French vanilla frozen yogurt. Yummy!

  4. I don’t know what they were suppose to look like. I was surprised at the outcome of the topping, its very runny. I was expecting coarse crumbs. I’m not even sure if its already done baking. The topping turned out, after baking, still liquidy. I think mine was underbaked since Coffee Mom's photo of it looks set. My mangoes were sweet, but the topping is sweeter (which turned my mangoes sour) The topping tasted like caramel.

  5. This is a easy recipe. As I live in India, Mangoes are in abundance and this cobbler is a great way to eat the same old Mango! A keeper.
