If you’re planning a cozy date night at home, you’re going to want this date night charcuterie board. Recreate your favorite movie theater snacks into a beautiful board, accented by savory cheese and charcuterie.
Ingredients Needed
Below is a sample list you can use for your board, but you can totally customize yours to exactly what you want!
- 5 oz. prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella cheese
- 6 oz. yellow or white cheddar cheese
- Blueberry goat cheese
- 6 oz. Salami
- popcorn or kettle corn
- red grapes
- strawberries
- Twizzlers
- gummy bears
- crackers
- 7 oz. pitted olives
- 2 mini-bottles of wine
How to make a date night charcuterie board
For this board, I used an 11×14 inch rectangle board. For a board for two, I would suggest using a rectangle board around 11×14 inches, or a 12 inch round board.
- Start with a cereal-sized bowl in the middle of your board for the popcorn.
- Add the pitted olives to a small bowl and place it in the corner of your board.
- Add the mini-wine bottles in the opposite corner.
- Place the bunch of grapes in another corner.
- From there, begin placing the remaining items until the board is completely filled. Don’t be afraid to rearrange multiple times until it feels right!
Recipe FAQs
How much meat and cheese per person on charcuterie?
A general rule of thumb is 3-4 slices of meat per person, and 1-2 oz. of cheese per person. From there you can add in the additional items, also based on your guest count.

You can slice the cheese and any fruits the night before and refrigerate in an air-tight container overnight. You can also fold any meats and place them into a glass storage container to refrigerate overnight.
Do I have to use these exact ingredients?
No! You can customize your date night charcuterie board to exactly what you want. Be sure to include a mix of sweet and salty.

This looks like such a fun treat for date night! I definitely want to make something similar (with plenty of meat free options for me since I’m a vegetarian).
